Another Closin'...

KISS ME KATE at Garland Summer Musicals closed at the end of July. Few shows have been as challenging for or meant as much to Lauren as this one. She was 'So In Love' with the entire company, brilliant and loving and kind to a person.

Thank you for a summer that was truly 'Too Darn Hot!'

Philly to Dallas to Jersey, oh my!

In August, Lauren relocated to Dallas, Texas, and has begun working with a local writing group and auditioning in the thriving theatrical community there. Howdy, Texas!

To read more about Lauren's transition into a new writing community, visit the SCBWI Eastern Pennsylvania chapter's blog here.

Shortly after relocating, Lauren's novel-in-progress was accepted to the prestigious Rutgers One-On-One Plus Conference in New Brunswick, NJ, this fall. Started in 1969 by Vivian Grey, the Rutgers Conference is a staple in children's literature, having turned out success stories from the likes of Marcie Aboff, Laurie Halse Anderson, Susan Campbell Bartoletti, Pat Brisson, Pamela Jane, Denise Lang, Gail Carson Levine, Dianne Ochiltree, Coleen Paratore, Pamela Curtis Swallow, Rita Williams-Garcia, Kay Winters and Elvira Woodruff.
